25 students fall ill after taking iron tablets

A total of 25 students today fell ill after consuming iron tablets which was provided by the district health department, at Miranpur town here, an official said.

25 students of Class VI and VII of SD Inder College were hospitalised after they developed vomiting tendency as soon as they took iron tablets, Superintendent of Government Health Centre Dr Saran Singh said.

They were rushed to health cenre at Jansath and later all students were discharged, he said.

Singh said that iron tablets were provided by the health department under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) in the college.
