260 gm of heroin seized

The city police seized 260 gm of heroin and arrested one person in connection with it from the central part of the city today.

Acting on a tip off, Kolkata Police raided a spot near Girish Park Metro station and seized the contraband and made the arrest, a senior police officer said.

Rs 1000 in cash was also seized from the man.

The seized drug has a market value of about Rs one lakh, he added.
