268 cadets pass out of Officers Training Academy

A total of 268 cadets was commissioned as officers at a passing out parade at the Officers Training Academy here Saturday.

The cadets included those from countries like Bhutan, Afghanistan and Fiji Islands, a press release said.

The gentlemen and lady cadets have completed their training in the academy, the release said.

General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, Lieutenant General Abhay Krishna reviewed the parade and presented various awards including the 'Sword of Honour' to Battalion Under Officer Siddharth Singh, gold medal to Battalion Under Officer Raveena Punia, it said.

The cadets, after taking the oath, would be joining in different battalions and regiments, it added.
