Three members of a family were killed and another injured when the wall of a house collapsed due to incessant rains in Bihar's Kaimur district, a police officer said today.
The wall caved in during torrential rains trapping three women members of a family and a girl under the debris at Gehun village last evening, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunil Kumar Naik said.
As a result three of them died on the spot, while another sustained injuries, he said.
The deceased were Sheela Devi (45), her daughter-in-law Asha Devi (28), grand-daughter Jyoti Kumar (12), he said. The injured woman, identified as Maya Devi, was taken to a government hospital.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
