Seven persons, including three minors, were rescued by people of Udinana village in Rangia from the alleged captivity of three human traffickers, police said.
The villagers nabbed the trio last evening on information that they were taking seven persons, including three minors, to Punjab, the police said.
Later, they handed them over to the police at Rangia in Kamrup district.

The traffickers were identified as Raja Das of Nagoan district, Amrul Ali of Baksa and Imdadul Ali of Kamrup district.
Police said they were being interrogated.
The rescued persons hailed from different parts of the state such as Barpeta, Tripura, Dibrugarh, Tangla, Udalguri and Rangia.
