3 policemen injured as bomb explodes at police station

Three police personnel were injured when a bomb exploded at Itahar police station in North Dinajpur today, a police official said.

Several bombs, recovered during a recent raid on a nearby village, had been kept at the police station for disposal when one of them exploded, the official said.

A sub-inspector, an assistant sub-inspector and a civic volunteer were injured and rushed to Raiganj district hospital, the official said adding that the other bombs had been defused.
