Thirty-two people were hospitalised after eating at a snack bar in Shenzhen City of south China's Guangdong Province today.
According to the health bureau of Luohu district, the suspected food poisoning has been traced to food from a snack bar that sold 52 breakfast meals.
The district's centre for disease control and prevention detected nitrite in water and other ingredients used by the snack bar, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
People with food poisoning symptoms are being treated in the hospital.
