4 held for Dalit woman's death over land dispute in Haryana

Four persons were arrested today for allegedly being involved in the killing of a 54-year-old Dalit woman at Kalauda village here over some land dispute.

Main accused Brijbhan and his accomplices Bhim Singh, Satyaban and Shubhash were presented before a court which sent them to police custody for a day, a police spokesperson said.

The woman was killed when a group of miscreants allegedly attacked her village following a dispute over an 8.5 acre piece of land. Twelve people, belonging to Dalit community, also had received injuries in the incident.
