Four villagers, including three women, were today killed and six others injured when a state-run bus from Karnataka hit their auto-rickshaw near Adoni town of the district, police said.
The accident occurred at around 11 AM, when a group of villagers were travelling in the three-wheeler to Adoni, they said.
The KSRTC bus coming from the opposite direction hit the autorickshaw resulting in the death of four persons, including three women on the spot and caused injuries to six others, Adoni Circle Police Inspector B V Ramana said.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, he said, adding that further investigations are on.
