5 sentenced to life imprisonment for murder

A local court today sentenced five persons to life imprisonment in a ten-year-old murder case.

Additional District Judge Amarpal Singh convicted and sentenced Samir, Sujit, Pradip, Rakesh and Kaushalesh for murdering Ajit Sharma alias Shikari on October 5, 2004.

Sharma was killed in Chitbadagaon area by the convicts over old enmity, prosecution sources said.

After hearing both the sides, the judge sentenced them and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each, the sources added.
