A five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the driver of her school bus here.
The incident took place on August 18 in Shikargarh area, police said today.
The victim's mother lodged a complaint yesterday alleging the her daughter was raped by the driver of the school bus, identified as Bhawani Singh.
According to police, the driver raped the girl on August 18 and 19 after taking her into the bushes near the bus parking area of the school.
"We have registered a case against the driver under appropriate sections of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and subjected the girl to medical examination today," said a police official.
The school administration condemned the incident and said they will cooperate with the police in their investigation.
