50 fall ill after feast

About 50 people are reported to have

taken ill after eating food served upon the completion of funeral rites of a villager in Malpura area, about 20 kms from here, this afternoon.

Chief Medical Officer of Agra Dr A K Kulshreshtha said about 30 persons of Itauro village had been admitted to the district hospital here after they took ill this afternoon. However, no patient was reported critical, he added.

A mobile team of health officials has been sent to the area to monitor the situation, the Chief Medical Officer said.
