6.1 magnitude quake hits in Pacific off coast of El Salvador

A strong 6.1 magnitude earthquake has hit in the Pacific off the coast of El Salvador, but there are no early reports of damage or injuries.
The US Geological Survey said the tremor occurred 24 kilometres under the surface Sunday evening, and its epicentre was 93.4 kilometres southwest of the coastal town of Acajutla.
