In a shocking incident, a 6-7 month-old female foetus was today found on the terrace of an under-construction house in southwest Delhi's Bindapur area this morning.
The female foetus was found this morning on the first floor terrace of an under-construction house in Mansa Park area in Bindapur, police said.
"A case under section 318 (Concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body) IPC has been registered at Bindapur police station and further investigation is underway," said DCP (Southwest) Surender Kumar.
It is suspected that the foetus could have been lying on the terrace for a couple of days, police said.
Police has launched a hunt to identify the doctor who carried out the termination of pregnancy and efforts are being made to find out the identity of the parents.
Locals are being questioned to know if they saw any suspicious activity near the area, they added.
