6 killed in vehicle collision

Six persons were killed and two other injured today when a speeding truck rammed into a tractor-trolley they were travelling in, at Jhalawar district here.

The impact of the collusion was so strong that the tractor-trolley split into pieces killing six on the spot and the truck overturned at a distance, ASI of Asthnawar police station, Abdul Mazid, said.

The accident happened in Talwadiya-Khandiya route around 12 PM and the injured are undergoing treatment at SRG hospital in Jhalawar, he said.

All the eight people in the grain-laden trolley were going to sell the produce at the Asthnawar grain mandi, he said.
 

The bodies were handed over to the family members after postmortem, the ASI said, adding a case against the truck driver would be lodged in this connection.
