68 rice sacks of PDS taken for black marketing seized

Police today seized 68 sacks of rice of Public Distribution system taken for illegal sale in market in Bihar's Nawada district.

On a tip off, the police stopped a tractor laden with 68 sacks of rice taken to market for illegal sale, police sources said.

The tractor driver was arrested while two persons of a PDS outlet managed to flee, they said.

The sacks weighed 50 kg taking the total tally of rice seized to 34 quintal, the police said.

The arrested driver is being interrogated for further details, they said.
