Housing problems of the economically weaker section should be addressed in the proposed urban housing policy, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said today.
Efforts should be made to meet requirements of the financially weaker section of the society in various housing schemes in the state, he said in a meeting to discuss the proposed policy.
In the current situation, policy that benefited all sections of the society and planned development of the cities was needed, he said.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the vision, mission, objective and strategy for implementation.
The last state urban housing policy was announced in the 1995.
