Alison Redford, Premier of the Canadian province of Alberta, arrives here tomorrow leading a trade mission to India.
During his week-long stay in India, the Alberta Premier, accompanied by representatives of 20 Alberta-based companies, would explore areas of cooperation, notably in energy and agriculture sectors, and promote Alberta as an attractive investment destination for Indian businessmen, an official release of the Canadian High Commission said.
Redford, along with the trade mission delegates, will also visits Amritsar, Mumbai and Bangalore.

"Our trade mission to India is an important opportunity to build on Alberta's strong relationship with one of the world's fastest-growing economies. Opening new markets is job one for our government and a key part of our Building Alberta Plan.
"This trade mission will allow us to open new doors for Alberta organisations and enable Indian businesses to identify new opportunities in Alberta," said Redford before leaving for India.
The itinerary of Redford include a keynote speech at the PETROTECH 2014 ministerial session, hold meetings with key Indian government and industry leaders, visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar, address at the Sophia College in Mumbai and visit the Wipro global headquarters campus in Bangalore.
