'30 Rock' star Alec Baldwin can't wait to become a father again at 55 because it means he gets a second chance at becoming a doting dad.
The actor insists the fall-out from his divorce with his grown-up daughter Ireland's mother, Kim Basinger, prevented him from being the father he had dreamt of becoming.
But he's determined to get it right when his first child with new wife Hilaria is born later this year.
"The only thing that I regret was that I missed so much of my daughter's childhood because of this contentious situation. And that wasn't at all what I wanted. So I find that now I have another chance," Baldwin said.
And once his baby is born, Baldwin said he'll slip away from the limelight to become a quiet family man.
"I have my daughter coming and my wife, and I just want to get as far away from that (fame) as possible. You're probably going to be one of the last interviews I ever do," he added.
