Alipurduar district zilla parishad was today formed under the ruling TMC.
Jalpaiguri additional district magistrate Dibyendu Das announced the formation of the parishad.
The zilla parishad will be headed by Mohan Sarma as president and Atul Subba as vice president.
The parishad has a total of 18 seats with TMC having a strength of 10 and CPI (M) eight.
