An all party meeting here today adopted a resolution welcoming the Supreme Court verdict on the Cauvery issue ensuring supply of seven tmc feet of water for the Union Territory.
It was decided that a joint delegation of leaders of all political parties and representatives of farmers outfits in the union territory would soon urge the Centre to ensure that the apex court's directives on setting up the Cauvery Water Management Board were implemented to benefit the riparian states in sharing of Cauvery water.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister V Narayanasamy.

The resolution said the apex court's verdict "is most welcome" and the Centre should initiate steps in keeping with the court verdictand set up the Board and also Regulation Committee.
The delegation would soon leave for Delhi to persuade the Centre for setting up the Board and Regulation Committee, the resolution said.
