Oscar-winner Allison Janney is in negotiations to join the cast of the drama "Bad Education".

If finalised, the 58-year-old actor will join "Logan" star Hugh Jackman in the project, reported Variety.

The script for the film has been penned by Mike Makowsky and is based on "I Think We're Alone Now" screenwriter's high school experience, reported Deadline.

The story follows a superintendent of the school district who works for the betterment of the student's education while embezzling public funds to live the life he wants.

Jackman will portray the role of the superintendent while Janney will play the school district business manager who is in on the scheme and enjoying the same living large lifestyle while helping him (and her) to cover their tracks.

Cory Finley, who recently directed "Thoroughbreds" starring Olivia Cooke, Anya Taylor-Joy and Anton Yelchin, will helm the project.

"La La Land" producer Fred Berger will back the project along with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Eddie Vaisman, Julia Lebedev, Oren Moverman and Makowsky.
