Tragic singer Whitney Houston's life is getting a big screen treatment with Angela Bassett set to direct a film that will focus on 'I'll always love you' singer's tumultuous relationship with husband Bobby Brown.
Houston found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room in February 2012 just before the Grammy awards. She was 48.
Lifetime has given a green signal for the film which will mark Bassett's directorial debut, reported Deadline.
The film, titled 'Whitney Houston', is set for a 2015 premiere.
The film chronicles the tumultuous relationship between Houston and Brown from the time they met to their courtship, marriage and divorce while Houston continued to rise in her career.
