Army Chief pays obeisance at Golden Temple

Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh today visited the Golden Temple and paid obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum.

He sat inside the sanctum sanctorum for half-an-hour listening to Shabad Kirtan (religious hymns).

The Army Chief also paid obeisance at the Akal Takht (the highest temporal seat of the Sikhs), said Jaswinder Singh Jassi, Information Officer of the Golden Temple.

A set of Sikh religious books and a replica of the Golden Temple were presented to Gen Singh.
