Asst Loco Pilot injured as miscreants hurl stones at train

The Assistant Loco Pilot of the Nagercoil-Kottayam passenger train was seriously injured this evening when unidentified persons threw stones on the train near Karunagappally in Kollam District, railway sources said.

The Loco Pilot, P P Harikrishnan was first rushed to a hospital at Karunagappally and later shifted to a hospital at Thiruvananthapuram.

The onward journey of the train from Karunagappally has been cancelled, the sources said.
