Azad condoles demise of veteran journalist A N Dar

Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad has condoled the sad demise of veteran journalist A N Dar who passed away in Delhi after brief illness.

Describing Dar as a towering journalist, Azad said he carried out his professional responsibilities with unswerving commitment.

Azad appreciated the contributions made by Dar to the society in different capacities as a journalist, adding, his death has created a void that cannot be filled so easily.

Recalling his services as an editor of the National Herald, Azad said that while Dar rendered excellent services in every organisation, however, his stint as editor of National Herald has been matchless.
 

Azad prayed for eternal peace of departed soul and courage for the bereaved family.

Dar died in New Delhi yesterday after a brief illness. He was 80.
