Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today met Abhay Singh Sandhu, nephew of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, at his residence in Mohali district to condole the death of his son Abhitej Sandhu.
Abhitej succumbed to injuries after a fatal road accident near Rampur in Shimla yesterday.
Badal shared his heartfelt sympathies with the deceased's family members and prayed to the almighty to give enormous courage and strength to bear the huge loss in this hour of grief, a state government release said here.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Mohali Deputy Commissioner D S Mangat and Mohali SSP G S Bhullar.
