In order to inculcate interest among students for the science subject, Punjab government has decided to arrange free tours for students to the Science City, Kapurthala under its flagship Chief Minister Vigyan yatra.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would kick start this scheme on February 18 from Government Model Senior Secondary School, Mohali by flagging off first bus to Science City, Education Minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said today.
Cheema said under this scheme daily 1100 students would be taken to Science City Kapurthala.
He said that one bus from each district carrying 50 students would be flagged off for the science city.
The entry fees at the science city and mode of transport would be arranged by the Punjab Government, he said.
He said the the students of government schools from class VI to class to XII would be covered under this scheme.
