The proposed two-day bank strike call given by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) from January 29 will be finalised only after the crucial conciliation talks with IBA and other officials of Finance Ministry on Friday, a senior UFBU functionary said today.

UFBU National convener M V Murali told PTI that the Central Labour Commission had convened a meeting in New Delhi with representatives of UFBU and officials of IBA and Finance Ministry today.

At the meeting, the IBA expressed its willingness to discuss with UFBU over the demand of wage settlement and other resolutions in the next meeting to be held on January 17, Murali said.

The UFBU would take a final decision on the strike call after seeing the outcome of the meeting with Indian Banks Association (IBA), he added.
