Benedict Cumberbatch exits Del Toro's 'Crimson Peak'

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch has dropped out of Guillermo Del Toro's gothic horror picture "Crimson Peak".

The movie is about a woman who discovers that her new husband is not who he claims to be, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources say Cumberbatch's very recent exit is not due to scheduling conflicts with the Legendary Pictures production, which is slated to begin next February.

"The Star Trek: Into Darkness" thesp's upcoming slate includes "12 Years A Slave", "August: Osage County" and "The Fifth Estate".
