Bihar allows donor of land to name school after person of

Bihar government today gave its nod to a proposal to allow donor of land for establishment of a school name the institution after the person of their choice.

A proposal was approved at a meeting of state Cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi here.

The donor giving land for establishment of a middle or high school could name the institution after a person of his or her choice, Brajesh Mehrotra, Principal Secreary, state Cabinet coordination department told reporters.

In a bid to increase number of educational institutions, the state government had brought out a proposal under which a school could be established on the land donated by public.
 

The state Cabinet gave its nod to 27 proposals of various departments at a meeting here this evening.
