Two motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly snatched an NRI woman's bag containing valuables worth Rs 5 lakh in Abu lane market here, police said today.
35-year-old Shahida, wife of a London-based businessman, was on her way home yesterday from the market in a rickshaw when two youths on a motorcycle snatched her bag, police said.
According to Shahida, the bag contained Rs 1 lakh and 500 pounds cash, gold jewellery and a cell phone.
Police are suspecting the involvement of local goons in the case and a search for the accused duo is on.
