West Bengal Minister for Planning, Statistics and Programme, Ashis Banerjee today released the 'Birbhum District Statistical Handbook'.
Speaking on the occasion the minister said "statistics play an important role to facilitate development."
Earlier statistics students from 15 countries on a study tour visited Birbhum district and met the minister.
Banerjee said the study tour of the students will strengthen the bonding between our country and their countries.
