The BJP today continued to protest against suspension of its state chief Jugal Kishore Sharma, who was barred from taking part in the remaining proceedings the ongoing J&K Assembly session for unruly conduct.

Enraged party workers burnt effigies of the state government and the Chief Minister, and sought immediate revoking of the order.

Sharma was suspended on March 19 after he got engaged in a heated exchange of words with state minister Sakina Itoo.

BJP leader Bali Bhagat, however, alleged that it was Itoo who misbehaved with Sharma during the House proceedings.

Sharma was attacked by the several ministers and marshals and was dragged out of the house in an undemocratic manner, he alleged.
