BJP slams Centre after SC order on Maya, Khurshid hits back

"This is a serious indictment of the UPA government which has turned the investigative agency as a tool to garner political support for its survival," BJP spokesperson Tarun Vijay told reporters.
"It is time the government restores the credibility and independence of investigative agencies in the interest of democracy," he said.
However, rejecting the BJP charge, Khurshid said the Supreme Court order has nothing to do with politics.
"It is not correct to link it with politics. We all must respect the Supreme Court...It is very very unfair to say that it has anything to do with the politics of the country...The Supreme Court decides according to its wisdom," he told reporters here.
Khurshid said the order should not be linked with any political development in the country. "I think to link it with any other motive, or any other relationship, or any other event happening in the country will not be fair at all," he said.
