All 12 crew members of a boat had a lucky escape when a vessel carrying 900 tonnes of coal sank in Bangladesh today after hitting a buoy.
All 12 crew on board 'MV Master Sohag' were rescued by nearby ships after accident in Chittagong port's Sandwip Channel.
Ataul Kabir Ranju, deputy director of the private organisation that operated the vessel, said the ship was on its way to Khulna, bdnews24 reported.
"It sank after hitting a buoy at Bhasantek around 2 pm," he said.
