Body found in Bishnah

An unidentified body of a man has been recovered from a canal in the Bishnah area of Jammu district, police said today.

The locals noticed a body caught under the bridge of a canal, which was later retrieved by a police team.

The identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained, a police officer said.

A case has been registered and "the body has been kept in a mortuary for identification," he added.
