Body of newborn found partly buried

Body of a newborn was found partly buried by Anaparthy police in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh last evening.

Additional sub-inspector of police K Murthy said, "We received information from revenue officers that body of a newborn was lying buried and the street dogs were feeding on the corpse."

"We rushed our men immediately to the spot. The newborn seems to be two-day old baby boy," said the official.

Police are now searching for the parents of the newborn, he said.
