Body of teenaged girl found in well

The body of a teenage girl, who had gone missing a week ago, was today recovered from a well in Hasanpur village in the district, police said.

"Some villagers got a foul smell emanating from the well and later they informed us," police said, adding they took out the body from the well with the help of villagers.

Later, a team of forensic experts also visited the spot and lifted some samples from there, they said.

The body has been sent to Civil Hospital for post mortem, they said.

The 14-year-old class VII student had gone missing under mysterious circumstances from her village a week ago, police said.
