Bovine smuggler held in Doda

One person was arrested today for alleged bovine smuggling in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, the police said.

On specific information, a police party intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle at Akramabad area in Doda and rescued seven bovines, a police officer said.

He said one person named Mohd Shafiq was arrested in this connection.

Two others managed to flee under the cover of darkness, he said. A case has been registered in this, he added.
