A 40-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sodomising an 11-year-old boy at a village in Dehra area of Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district, police said today.
Jawalamukhi Deputy Superintendent of Police Yogesh Dutt Joshi, currently holding additional charge of Dehra, said accused Chuha Ram allegedly sodomised the boy when he had gone to graze his cattle on Saturday.
The boy informed her mother about the incident when she returned home from her work as a domestic help, he added.
Subsequently she lodged a complaint against Chuha Ram with the police, he said, adding that he was arrested after an FIR was registered against him under section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Joshi said the accused was produced in a local court which remanded him to police custody for three days.
