Boy suspected to have been affected by polio

A one-year-old boy suffering from fever is suspected to have been affected by polio here.

Vikas, who was suffering from fever for the past three days, was admitted to the district hospital here yesterday.

"The right hand of the boy is said to have been affected by polio but anything concrete about it would be known only after detailed tests," chief medical officer of the district, Dr V K Gupta said.
