Bakery and dairy products maker Britannia Industries today reported a 36.51 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 137.28 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 100.56 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal, Britannia Industries said in a filing to the BSE.
Consolidated net sales rose to Rs 2,033.28 crore during the quarter under review, 13.40 per cent higher than Rs 1,793.01 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.

Britannia Industries Managing Director Varun Berry said: "This quarter is a pay-off of all our efforts of strengthening our building blocks with great momentum on distribution, building cost efficiencies, right sizing our fixed costs and building a strong and passionate team."
Shares of Britannia Industries today closed at Rs 1,923.15 apiece on BSE, up 0.94 per cent from their previous close.
