Brooke Shields limits her drinking

Actress Brooke Shields says she always keeps a careful check on how much alcohol she is drinking because of her family's history with drinking.

The 50-year-old "Pretty Baby" star said her mother, late actress-and-producer Teri Shields, and father, deceased Revlon executive Francis Shields, both had a tendency to consume alcohol too much and so she is always very strict about how much she drinks, reported Female First.

"I really have to take care that I limit my intake of alcohol. I know I have the tendency to drink too much."

Brooke is married to Chris Henchy and they have two children, Rowan, 12, and Grier, nine.
