Bombay Stock Exchange Brokers Forum has bought huge building space in GIFT city, Gandhinagar, Gujarat Finance Minister Saurabh Patel said today.
"Its a golden day for GIFT city. Bombay Stock Exchange Brokers Forum has bought a building of 3 lakh square feet in GIFT city. GIFt city is dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make Gandhinagar as financial hub," he told reporters after meeting Union Finance Minister Arun Jatiley.
Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Company Ltd (GIFT) has been set up as Joint Venture Company between the Gujarat Urban Development Company Limited (GUDC) and Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited (IL&FS).

GIFT aspires to cater to India's large financial services potential by offering global firms a world-class infrastructure and facilities. It aims to attract the top talent in the country by providing the finest quality of life.
It is estimated that GIFT would provide 5 lakh direct and an equal number of indirect jobs which would require 5.76 million square meter of real estate office and residential space.
The site is 12 KM from the Ahmedabad International Airport and 8 KM from Gandhinagar.
