BSEB officials convicted to two years RI in corruption case

The special judge (vigilance), Ramesh Chandra Singh, passed the order convicting BSEB junior engineer Md Jakaria and section clerk Vishwanath Sharma to two years RI and fined them Rs 15,000 and Rs 8,000 respectively.
The BSEB officials were arrested taking a bribe of Rs 2300 by the vigilance for a power connection to a consumer Ravindra Kumar in Ara town on November 26, 2006, according to prosecution.
