Bus conductor shot dead

Shyam Lal Gupta (27) was fired on from point blank range late last night, police said, adding that the seriously injured conductor died at a hospital in Lucknow a few hours later.

The attackers looted his bag containing cash and the ticket machine.

Further investigations into the incident are underway, police added.
