Businessman robbed of Rs 1.45 lakh by bike-borne men

A businessman was allegedly robbed of Rs 1.45 lakh by three bike-borne men at Nihoilkalan village under Rijor police station in this district.

Amod Pachauri was returning home after closing his shop yesterday when a trio of masked men, overtook his scooty and took away his bag containing Rs 1.45 lakh, police said.

The unidentified culprits fled the spot after robbing Pachauri at gun-point, they said.

A case has been registered against unidentified assailants and the matter is being investigated, police added.
