C'garh inks 2 pacts for POL depot, LED lights manufacturing

Chhattisgarh government today signed twoMemoranda of Understandings (MoUs) for setting up a POL (Petroleum, Oil and Lubricant) depot and LED lights manufacturing unit.

TheMoUsinvolving the investment of nearly 336 crore was inkedat Mantralaya, in the presence of Chief Minister Raman Singh this evening, said a public relation official.

One MoU was signed with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation limited (HPCL) for setting up a POL depot in Janjgir-Champa district and the other was inked with Millenium Infratech for establishing LED lights manufacturing plant in Naya Raipur.

State's commerce and industry department Secretary Subodh Singh signed the MoU on behalf of Chhattisgarh government with Anil Pandey, Enforcement Director (Operations, Distribution & Engineering) HPCL and Narinjan Jindal, Director Millenium Infractech for respective projects.
 

The proposed POL depot will be established near Naya Baradwar Railway Station in Janjgir-Champa, around 200 kms from here, with an investment ofRs 324 crore,he said.

Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) has already allotted land measuring approximately 100 acres to HPCL and another 15 acre land for the project is to be allotted within weeks of time, the official said.

This depot will ensure fuel availability in the northern part of the state, he added.

Similarly, the LED plant of Millenium Infratech will be set up in the upcoming electronics manufacturing cluster at Naya Raipur at the cost of Rs 12 crore.
