Canara bank donates over Rs 5 crore for disaster-hit people

Canara Bank today contributed Rs 5.28 crore to the Uttarakhand Chief Minister's Relief Fund to provide relief to flood affected victims in the state.
The CMD of the nationalised bank, Rajiv Kishore Dubey handed over the cheque to the Chief Minister at the secretariat.
The amount is in addition to a donation of Rs one crore made by the bank in July, a Canara Bank release here said.

Earlier, Dubey also inaugurated an MSME Expo and a Retail Loan Expo here to give a boost to home loan and vehicle loan schemes of the bank.
Retail and enterprise loans worth Rs 105.80 crore were also distributed among 8,300 customers at the expo, the release said.
